Honoring the Legacy of Francisco 'Javi' Santana: Dedicated Advocate for Students, Families, and Our Community
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Francisco 'Javi' Santana, a cherished member of the South Whittier School District Board of Education. Javi devoted his time, energy, and heart to the students, families, and educators of our district, leaving an unforgettable mark on our schools and community.
Serving on the Board for 8.5 years, Javi was a steadfast advocate for high-quality education, equitable opportunities, and the success of every student. His leadership reflected his unwavering belief that every child deserves the tools, resources, and encouragement to reach their full potential.
Mr. Santana’s legacy will live on in the programs and initiatives he helped make possible, and in the spirit of collaboration and care he brought to our district.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of working alongside him. We are deeply grateful for his years of service and will honor his memory by continuing the important work to which he dedicated his life.
